Description
Fayetteville Public Works Commission is soliciting sealed bids for construction work at Glenville Lake Dam, including removal of identified trees and vegetation, repair of cracks and deteriorated concrete in the parapet wall, replacement of nonfunctioning piezometers used for dam monitoring, demolition and disposal of removed materials, access and protection of existing facilities, erosion and sedimentation controls, earthwork, site restoration, and turf restoration. Concrete repairs include polyurethane grout injection, epoxy crack injection, repair mortar, and related concrete removal and replacement. The work is to be completed within 150 days under the bid schedule, while the construction agreement states completion within 360 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed; bidders should resolve this apparent contract-time discrepancy. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required, and bids must include the prescribed bid forms, qualification and certification forms, subcontractor and supplier information, economic impact disclosure, and applicable bid security. Performance and payment bonds are required at 100% of the contract amount when the stated statutory thresholds apply, and the contractor may subcontract no more than 49% of the final contract price.
