Description
The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services is soliciting sealed bids for an approximately 6,800-square-foot interior renovation of South Seattle College’s one-story Autobody Repair Building. The completed facility will serve as a ceramics studio and future fine arts spaces. Work includes selective demolition; new partitions, doors, finishes, casework, shelving, visual display boards, roller shades, and corner guards; concrete repairs and flooring; and mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, HVAC, lighting, and domestic water upgrades. The project includes two additive alternates: renovation of Storage Room 106 and HVAC upgrades for Fine Arts Lab 113 and Fine Arts Storage 113B. The estimated bid range is $1,200,000 to $1,700,000. Bidders must provide a 5% bid guarantee when the base bid plus additive alternates exceeds $35,000, submit the Wage Theft Prevention Form, Bid Form pricing through the portal, and complete the Bidder Compliance Form. Subcontractor Listing Form A is due with the bid, while Form B is due within 48 hours after the bid deadline. The project requires 15% apprentice labor hours, prevailing wages, supplemental responsibility information, and a Diverse Business Inclusion Plan for contracts over $1 million. The contract time is 153 calendar days to Substantial Completion, followed by 28 calendar days to Final Completion.
