Description
The project involves removing existing roofing down to the structural deck and installing new roofing systems, including tapered and flat insulation, an EPDM single-ply membrane, and asphalt shingles. Associated work includes sheet-metal flashings, roof curbs and copings, retrofit roof drains and scuppers, manufactured expansion joints, pipe penetrations, and a new roof-access ladder with refurbishment of existing access ladders. The bid documents also require a 10% bid security; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and meet the stated insurance requirements. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is a prerequisite to bidding.
