Description
The Grand Prairie Water Commission is soliciting bids for construction of the Alternative Water Source Program Cal-Sag Crossing project. The work includes approximately 1,200 feet of 66-inch-diameter steel potable water main, 575 feet of 10-foot-diameter tunnel, two 25-foot-diameter shafts approximately 90 feet deep, and related work. The project is subject to applicable project labor agreements and prevailing-wage requirements, including the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and, where applicable, the Davis-Bacon Act. The procurement is expected to be funded in part by an EPA WIFIA loan. Bidding documents are restricted to eligible contractors, major subcontractors, and vendors or material suppliers verified by the Owner. Eligible parties must request and submit a signed confidentiality and nondisclosure agreement to obtain access. The pre-bid conference is virtual and strongly encouraged; the Owner reserves the right to reject bids from bidders who do not attend.
