Description
The Cook County Sheriff's Office seeks experienced instructors to provide on-site training for law enforcement and corrections personnel, including recruits, veteran officers, and civilian or supervisory staff as needed. Respondents may propose for one or more of six subject areas: crisis intervention and mental health; corrections-specific instruction; use of force; law enforcement ethics and public relations; criminal investigations and trial; and criminal and civil law instruction. Training may include pre-service, in-service, and specialized courses, with scheduling determined by the Sheriff's Office on an as-needed basis. Respondents must describe their qualifications and instructional approach, provide proposed curricula and supporting materials for each subject area, and submit personnel resumes and references. The selected instructors may need Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board certification for applicable courses. The County intends to establish a prequalified pool of up to three vendors per subject area; work will be requested as needed. The anticipated agreement term is five years, with two one-year renewal options. Pricing is requested by instruction and course-preparation rates.
