Description
Ridley Township is soliciting bids for Phase 1 drainage improvements along Rodney Road and Stockton Circle in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The work includes approximately 840 linear feet of 6-inch perforated PVC underdrain, seven Type M inlets, one 48-inch storm manhole, 110 linear feet of concrete curb, eight ADA curb cuts, driveway-apron restoration, trench restoration, erosion and sedimentation controls, milling, and approximately 330 square yards of roadway wearing-course resurfacing. Bidders must comply with Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements, public-works employment verification, equal-opportunity provisions, Ridley Township contractor-responsibility and apprenticeship requirements, traffic-control and utility-coordination requirements, and applicable insurance provisions. A 10% bid bond or certified check is required with the bid. The successful bidder must provide 100% payment and performance bonds and a one-year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price. The estimated contract value is $250,000, and the successful bidder must pay PennBid a fee of one-third of 1% of the award value, subject to a $100 minimum and $5,000 maximum. Work must begin within 10 days after the notice to proceed and be completed within 45 calendar days, with punch-list work completed within 30 days of receipt of the punch list.
