Description
The City and Borough of Juneau seeks a contractor to perform annual pump performance testing on seven fire apparatus equipped with Hale and Waterous pumps. Work includes pre-test inspections; capacity, flow, pressure, vacuum, and priming tests; evaluation of pump controls and related components; and identification and reporting of deficiencies. Testing must follow applicable NFPA requirements, manufacturer specifications, and accepted testing practices. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, confirm whether the fire department’s available equipment is sufficient, and furnish any additional testing equipment required. The contractor must provide a complete electronic test report for each apparatus, including test measurements, pass/fail results, deficiencies, corrective-action recommendations where applicable, and testing-equipment and technician information. Repairs are excluded from the base scope and require prior authorization. The bid requests fixed pricing for each apparatus and mobilization/travel. The contract runs from award through June 30, 2027, with four automatic annual renewal periods; future annual testing is not guaranteed. Testing is preferred by November 30, 2026, with an alternate performance period from April 1 through June 30, 2027.
