Description
The Borough seeks a contractor to assess the site and design, fabricate, construct, and install a durable Alaska Long Trail gateway installation. The work includes at least two conceptual alternatives; construction-ready designs for gateway structures, interpretive and wayfinding elements, branding, and site-specific maps; coordination of brand approvals; fabrication for year-round outdoor conditions; site preparation, foundations, installation, restoration, and final inspection. Potential elements include a gateway monument or kiosk, trail branding, visitor maps, interpretive content, and directional information. The contractor must provide a project schedule, final digital design assets, warranty information, and maintenance recommendations. Completion is required by June 3, 2027. The anticipated firm-fixed-price contract value is under $50,000.
