Description
West Virginia University is soliciting a mechanical contractor to remove the existing indoor packaged air-handling unit and roof-mounted condensing unit at Cary Gym and install owner-furnished replacement equipment. The contractor must provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, crane and rigging, delivery and storage of owner-furnished equipment, demolition, roof-penetration patching, a new concrete condenser pad, ductwork, piping, natural-gas, electrical, refrigerant, drain, vent, smoke-detection, and other required connections. The contractor must also protect existing conditions, coordinate work around an occupied campus and athletic schedule, perform startup and functional testing, and complete cleanup and debris removal. WVU will provide the HVAC equipment and controls. The proposal must address company and team qualifications, at least three similar projects completed within the past five years, project approach, schedule and staffing, and lump-sum pricing. Required response documentation includes the City of Morgantown contractor license if applicable, Contractor Safety Evaluation Pre-Qualification Questionnaire, West Virginia Drug-Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit, West Virginia contractor license, West Virginia Purchasing Affidavit, and the contractor's license number. The proposal is evaluated on qualifications, similar experience, approach, schedule, and pricing.
