Description
Scouting America is soliciting a lump-sum general contractor for Contract No. 26-01, involving construction of a complete shower house at Heritage Reservation. The scope includes clearing, grubbing, grading, foundations, concrete sidewalks, a one-story masonry building with metal roofing and siding, twelve shower rooms including two accessible shower rooms, restrooms, utility spaces, plumbing fixtures, water heaters, electrical systems, HVAC ventilation, septic infrastructure, a grinder pump station, water and sewer extensions, propane service, erosion and sediment controls, furnishings, and final site restoration. Bids must be submitted electronically through PennBid and include the completed Bid Proposal Form, a 10 percent bid bond or certified/bank cashier's check, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Public Works Employment Verification Form, and Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause. The project requires prevailing-wage compliance, Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act compliance, 100 percent payment and performance bonds after award, an 18-month maintenance bond, and specified insurance. The contract time is 240 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
