Description
The City of Redding is soliciting bids for labor, tools, equipment, loaders, operators, water-truck support, and non-bottom-dump hauling services to remove approximately 3,400 tons of dewatered sludge from Pond No. 2 at the Clear Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant and transport it to the West Central landfill. Hauling must use transfer trailers and/or end dumps equipped with semi-automatic pull-tarp systems, and payment will be based on certified trucking weight certificates. The work includes dust control, loading and hauling operations, compliance with applicable public-works, prevailing-wage, contractor-registration, licensing, environmental, and disposal requirements, and completion within 10 working days after commencement. The engineer's estimate is $145,000. A Class A California contractor license is required, and the bid must include the City-supplied proposal forms and bid security.
