Description
Osceola County is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive primary and preventive medical services for inmates housed at the Osceola County Jail. The jail has an average daily population of 58 inmates and operates 24/7. Services required include, but are not limited to, general medical care, emergency care, dental hygiene, pharmacy services, and management services. The selected vendor will be responsible for developing and implementing a co-pay system, managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA, and coordinating off-site care when necessary. The county will remain financially responsible for durable medical equipment and elective care. The vendor must provide on-site Registered Nurse (RN) services for 40 hours per week and have a practitioner available by telephone 24/7. Proposals must include a vendor information section, a detailed transition plan, staff recruitment strategies, education and training plans, at least three current Michigan client references with similar inmate populations, and a waste reduction plan. The proposal should be formatted according to the RFP sequence, and all costs incurred in replying are the vendor's responsibility. A pre-bid facility tour is available upon request.
