Description
Tuolumne County is soliciting proposals for comprehensive food and commissary services for its Dambacher Detention Center and vended meals for the Mother Lode Regional Juvenile Detention Facility. The contract will span three years with an option for two additional one-year renewals, contingent upon satisfactory performance. The selected vendor will be responsible for all aspects of food service operations, including meal planning, purchasing, preparation, sanitation, and dietary accommodations, as well as commissary operations for the adult detention facility. Services must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including California Code of Regulations Title 15 requirements, approved medical diets, and religious dietary accommodations. The juvenile meals must also meet nutritional guidelines established by the USDA Child Nutrition Programs. The vendor will be required to provide equipment, supplies, and personnel necessary to fulfill these services. Additionally, the vendor will manage commissary services, including processing orders, picking, packing, delivery, and providing necessary kiosk and software solutions. Security clearances will be required for contractor employees accessing correctional facilities.
