Description
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Corrections is seeking guardianship services for inmates who have been adjudicated as incapacitated by the courts. These services are specifically limited to healthcare matters as determined by the courts. The selected offeror will be responsible for providing customized guardianship services to meet the specific needs of each incapacitated inmate. This includes participating in legal proceedings, conducting monthly in-person or virtual visits, communicating with the Department regarding inmate issues and medical concerns, and having procedures in place for crisis availability. Guardians must be certified by the National Guardianship Association and possess FBI and State Police clearances. The offeror must also comply with the National Guardianship Association's Standards of Practice and all federal, state, and local laws. This is a one-year contract with the option for four one-year renewals. Offerors must have at least three years of experience providing guardianship services and submit resumes of key personnel, including guardianship certifications.
