Description
Baltimore County is soliciting bids for a term contract covering as-needed nondestructive testing, inspection, certification, reporting, and related analysis for aerial ladders, ground ladders, cranes, bucket trucks, scissors lifts, digger derricks, material handlers, and other manlift equipment. Required testing may include visual, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, dye/liquid penetrant, hardness, radiographic, dielectric, functional, drift, acoustic emission, and other applicable tests performed in accordance with specified ASTM, NFPA, ANSI, OSHA, and AWS standards. Optional pressure testing and oil spectroanalysis may be ordered with written authorization. The contractor must have at least ten years of experience inspecting and nondestructively testing manlift equipment and/or ground ladders, and personnel performing inspections must hold SNT-TC-1A Level II certification in the applicable techniques. The contractor must provide detailed test procedures, equipment-category references, comprehensive unit reports, summary reports, and one-year compliance certificates when applicable. The estimated contract value is $100,000 for the entire term, including renewals. The initial term begins November 1, 2026, and continues for one year, with up to four additional one-year renewal options.
