Description
Baltimore County is seeking a contractor under a term agreement to perform annual GMAX testing on each synthetic turf field, HIC testing, and, as needed, full-field inspections evaluating infill depth, fiber condition, preservation recommendations, and estimated turf-system life expectancy. The contractor must provide individual reports and photographs for each field, with testing certificates submitted within five days after each test. Testing equipment and procedures must comply with specified ASTM standards, including ASTM F355 Procedure A and ASTM F1936. The equipment must include a 20-pound missile and a current NIST-traceable calibration certificate. A competent Maryland-licensed professional engineer with at least three years of GMAX-testing experience must be present throughout testing, and the successful bidder must have at least five years of relevant experience. The price sheet includes 33 GMAX tests, one life-expectancy inspection, and one HIC test, with additional fields potentially added at the same per-test price.
