Description
The City of Social Circle is soliciting proposals for two related construction contracts. Contract 1 includes approximately 3,600 linear feet of ductile iron and PVC sewer, manholes, jack-and-bore crossings, rock excavation, clearing, erosion and sediment control, stormwater monitoring, water-line work, and associated appurtenances. Contract 2 includes construction of the Little River Water Pollution Control Plant, including a screen and grit structure, aeration basins, final clarifiers, tertiary filtration, ultraviolet disinfection, sludge pumping and dewatering, chemical feed systems, control and electrical buildings, instrumentation and controls, generator equipment, plumbing, HVAC, and related site and structural work. The project also includes substantial mechanical equipment, process controls, testing, commissioning, operator training, and operation and maintenance documentation. Contract 1 has a stated construction duration of 270 consecutive calendar days. Contract 2 has a duration of 480 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 540 days for final completion. Bidders must hold a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License and employ a state-certified Utility Manager. A bid bond of at least 5% is required, and performance and payment bonds must each equal 100% of the contract amount.
