Description
Suffolk County seeks consulting services to develop a New Rider Education and Travel Training Plan for Suffolk County Transit. The work will help high school students, seniors, veterans, tourists and visitors, people with physical disabilities, and people with intellectual disabilities better understand and use fixed-route bus, paratransit, mobile ticketing, app-based trip planning, and on-demand transit services. The scope includes project management and coordination; a literature and best-practices review; and development of a comprehensive travel training plan. Deliverables include a project management plan and schedule, draft and final literature review memorandums, a draft and final travel training plan, a PowerPoint summary, outreach and training materials, and a sample travel training curriculum and collateral. The expected consulting budget is not to exceed $75,000, with task budgets of $15,000 for project management, $10,000 for the literature review, and $50,000 for plan development. The anticipated contract term is two years, with one optional one-year extension.
