Description
The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation is soliciting sealed electronic bids for construction work involving traffic signal safety improvements in various towns and cities within District 2. The required prequalification work classification is 13, Traffic Control and Illumination/Electrical, and the project is identified as State Project No. 0172-0549. The project is federally funded through the Federal Highway Administration. Bidders must be prequalified by the Department and approved for this specific project through the Bid Proposal Request Form (Part C). The official bid proposal must be submitted electronically through Bid Express; paper bids are not accepted. A bid bond equal to at least 30% of the bid amount is required unless the bidder has an acceptable current annual bid bond on file. DBE and SBE documentation requirements apply as specified, with applicable submissions due after bid opening.
