Description
The City of Ansonia and Ansonia School Building Commission are soliciting qualifications and proposals from construction management firms to serve as construction manager-at-risk for a new Ansonia Middle School and District Central Administrative Offices. The scope includes pre-construction services, constructability reviews, cost estimating, value engineering, scheduling, bid-package development, trade contractor solicitation and procurement, guaranteed maximum price development, construction management, project controls, commissioning coordination, closeout, post-occupancy, and warranty support. The project is planned at 64 and 78 Pulaski Highway and includes an approximately 126,776-square-foot middle school for grades six through eight, together with approximately 5,681 square feet of central administrative office space. The construction budget is approximately $80,000,000, with an anticipated occupancy beginning in June 2029. Proposers must be prequalified by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services as Construction Manager At Risk Group B or C, with a Single Project Limit of at least $85,000,000. The project requires compliance with Connecticut prevailing-wage, high-performance-building, nondiscrimination, and small- and minority-business spending goals, including a 6.80% SBE goal and 3.50% MBE goal.
