Description
Spring Branch Independent School District is soliciting proposals for a broad Category 2 network upgrade and related maintenance. The requested scope includes approximately 1,250 switches; 5,500 wireless access points; two routers; cabling totaling approximately 30,000 feet across multiple requests; and antennas, connectors, and related components in quantities of 100, 5,000, and 15,000. Equipment requests include necessary software and licenses, and certain equipment requests include installation and initial configuration. Aruba or equivalent equipment is identified for switches, wireless access points, and related components, while Juniper Networks or equivalent equipment is identified for routers and related components. The solicitation also includes basic maintenance of internal connections for the listed switches, cabling, wireless access points, routers, antennas, connectors, and related components. The district states that maintenance and managed services are only applicable to the internal-connections solution proposed and are not separate solicitations. The attached Proposer's Information form requests detailed business, ownership, financial-reference, insurance-company, workforce, and conflict-related information. Proposals must be sealed and received by the stated deadline; vendors must register in the district's electronic bidding system to access the solicitation documents.
