Description
Gregg County is soliciting proposals from qualified CPA firms to perform its external financial audits, including audits of all funds, entities, account groups, component units, grants, and associated activities. The scope includes the County’s financial statements, the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards, required single-audit and compliance reporting, internal-control reporting, and reports under applicable governmental auditing standards, GASB requirements, Uniform Guidance, and Texas law. The selected firm will also audit the East Texas Regional Airport Passenger Facility Charge activity, the Gregg County Juvenile Department, and the Gregg County Community Supervision and Corrections Department. Services include audit planning, interim work, fieldwork, draft and final reports, management recommendations, required conferences, and presentation of the audit report to Commissioners Court. Respondents must provide firm and staff qualifications, relevant county-government experience, at least five references, an audit approach and work plan, licensing information, required forms, insurance documentation, a proposed agreement, peer-review results, and itemized fee estimates for the requested services.
