Description
The USDA Forest Service intends to issue a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to Altinex, Inc. under the sole-source authority for the proprietary “The Rookie,” RS-13021 Dual Electric Hose Roller (NFES 0666), and associated parts. The requirement is for approximately 220 units to replace aging gasoline-powered hose rollers and increase inventory for wildland fire incidents, prescribed burning, storage, and shipment operations. The product was jointly designed by the Forest Service’s National Technology & Development program and Altinex under CRADA #25-RD-11070100-002 to address specific operational, safety, ergonomic, power, and logistical requirements. This notice is not a request for proposals or quotes; responsible sources may submit an offer and capabilities narrative demonstrating authorization and the ability to provide the proprietary product. The anticipated contract structure is a base period plus four option years.
