Description
The City of Daytona Beach is soliciting bids for removal of approximately 154 linear feet of existing 12-inch ductile iron watermain and installation of approximately 218 linear feet of 12-inch PVC watermain and 82 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron watermain. The work also includes replacing water services, water meters, and meter boxes; installing service stubs, valves, fittings, sleeves, caps, and related appurtenances; maintaining existing water service during construction; and completing testing, disinfection, dewatering, erosion and sedimentation controls, traffic maintenance, sodding, and restoration. The bid requires an active Florida General Contractor or Underground Utilities Contractor license held for at least five years, proof of required licensure with the bid, a 10% bid security submitted electronically and as an original hard copy received before the bid deadline, and a qualifications form documenting comparable watermain projects completed within the last three years. The solicitation requires online submission through the City's procurement platform; the bid security hard copy must also be mailed to the Purchasing Department before the deadline. A 100% performance and payment bond is required after award unless the contract price is less than $100,000. The solicitation explicitly requires workers' compensation, commercial general liability, automobile liability, and umbrella liability insurance.
