Description
Jefferson County's Lodging Tax Advisory Committee is accepting proposals from government agencies and nonprofit organizations for tourism promotion services and tourism-related facilities or activities during calendar year 2027, funded through the County's lodging tax fund. Eligible uses include destination development, tourism and destination marketing, operation of tourism promotion agencies, marketing of special events and festivals, tourism-facility capital or operating costs, and related administrative costs. The highest priority is destination development, followed by marketing and operation of special events and festivals; destination marketing is a lower priority. Applicants must use funds only for approved services and activities, submit quarterly program and financial reports, maintain supporting records for at least six years, provide annual tourism-impact information, and comply with possible site visits and audit access. The County does not make multi-year commitments, although repeat annual requests are permitted. Only public and nonprofit agencies are eligible.
