Description
The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen seeks a contractor to operate the Keremeos Visitor Centre and provide in-person, telephone, email, and other approved visitor-information services. The scope includes trip-planning assistance, local referrals and information, visitor statistics and reporting, staffing and volunteer management, local promotion of attractions, businesses, events, routes, and experiences, and coordination with tourism partners. Service must support the Village of Keremeos and Electoral Areas B and G while connecting visitors with the broader Similkameen Valley. Broad regional destination marketing—including regional branding, websites, social-media channels, paid campaigns, and regional marketing assets—is outside the primary scope, though local visitor-facing promotion is included. The contractor must provide quarterly and annual reports, maintain operational and financial records, and support an orderly transition at commencement and contract end. The agreement is for two years, with a one-year extension option at the Regional District’s discretion. The approved base contract budget is up to $25,000 per year; an additional annual allocation of up to $8,000 is under consideration and is not guaranteed. Proposals must include pricing for both the $25,000 and $33,000 budget scenarios. Required insurance documentation includes a WorkSafeBC clearance letter, commercial general liability coverage of at least $5,000,000 naming the RDOS as an additional insured, and automobile liability coverage of at least $3,000,000.
