Description
The U.S. Navy is soliciting firm-fixed-price quotes for one continuous 1,200-foot spool of new Samson AmSteel-Blue synthetic-fiber mooring line and 12 compatible stainless-steel Blue Line hard-eye synthetic rope thimbles. The rope must be 1-1/4 inches in nominal diameter, 12-strand, torque-free, single-braid, high-modulus synthetic fiber, with a minimum breaking strength of 149,000 pounds and an abrasion-resistant marine coating. It must be new, unused, in original manufacturer packaging, and supplied as one continuous length; spliced, repaired, refurbished, surplus, previously issued, or previously used rope is unacceptable. The thimbles must be stainless steel, corrosion resistant, suitable for marine mooring, and sized for 1-1/4-inch synthetic-fiber rope. Product code 930 is confirmed as acceptable, including when ordered in stainless steel, and equal products may be offered if they meet the stated salient characteristics. The quote must include the manufacturer's certificate of compliance for the rope. The acquisition is a 100% small-business set-aside and will be evaluated on technical capability, price, and past performance. All supplies must be delivered by November 30, 2026, during normal working hours, with the contractor responsible for arranging required base access.
