Description
New Mexico State University Auxiliary Services seeks qualified contractors to maintain and repair commercial food service equipment across dining, retail food, concessions, catering, convenience store, and other auxiliary facilities. Work includes preventive maintenance and inspections, troubleshooting, emergency response, repairs, replacement of consumable components, and installation of replacement equipment, including utility disconnection and reconnection when needed. The contractor must supply qualified technicians, tools, parts, and technical expertise and support a broad range of cooking, refrigeration, dishwashing, beverage, and related kitchen equipment from multiple manufacturers. Emergency service must be available 24/7, with response within two hours; urgent and routine response times are eight and 24 hours, respectively. Proposals must include fully burdened labor rates for standard, overtime, weekend, holiday, and emergency work, plus an emergency call-out fee. Minimum qualifications include five years of relevant experience, appropriate New Mexico licenses, EPA Section 608 certification, required insurance, and the ability to meet response requirements. The evaluation scores experience, technician qualifications, response and staffing plans, cost, references and past performance, and sustainability/value-added services. The scope document states an initial five-year term with two one-year renewal options, while the event details state a four-year initial term with up to six one-year renewals; the solicitation materials conflict on contract duration.
