Description
The City of Las Cruces is soliciting bids for general construction services for Phase One of the El Caldito Soup Kitchen, a new facility intended to prepare and distribute meals to people in need. The work includes construction of the cold/dark shell, structural systems, exterior finishes, roofing, windows, site improvements, parking, drainage, fencing, site lighting, utilities, concrete work, masonry, plumbing rough-ins, electrical service, and related construction activities. The project documents describe an approximately 9,745- to 11,000-square-foot facility at the Mesilla Valley Community of Hope campus, with Phase Two interior build-out identified for a future date. The selected contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and services; coordinate with the project team; comply with prevailing-wage requirements; obtain required registrations and licenses; and attain LEED Silver certification as specified. The bid requires a bid bond of at least 5 percent, and the awarded contractor must provide 100 percent labor-and-material payment and performance bonds. Bids must be submitted through the OpenGov Procurement Portal by the stated deadline.
