Description
New Mexico State University is soliciting environmental consulting firms to perform comprehensive hazardous materials assessments and monitoring across university facilities. The scope includes asbestos-containing material identification and bulk sampling, lead-based paint and lead-containing component testing, destructive sampling coordination, laboratory analysis using PLM, TEM, PCM, XRF, and paint-chip methods, background and daily air monitoring, personnel exposure monitoring when requested, final asbestos clearance testing, and lead dust-wipe sampling. The selected consultant(s) must maintain a valid New Mexico Environmental Consultant/Contractor License, use appropriately accredited and certified personnel and laboratories, and provide regulatory-compliant documentation. Deliverables include sample logs, facility maps, chain-of-custody forms, laboratory reports, air-monitoring records, clearance certifications, and electronic final reports within 14 calendar days of field completion. The agreement begins on the effective date for 12 months, with up to three additional annual renewals by mutual consent; multiple contracts may be awarded and assignments will be issued through task orders.
