Description
The City of Charlotte is soliciting bids for installation of four dual-port Level II, 80-amp electric vehicle chargers, including all required power distribution equipment. The project also includes provisions for five future Level II chargers, including conduits and circuit breakers, and installation of one 200 kW DC fast charger with required electrical work. Existing equipment will remain, and the chargers are owner-provided for contractor installation. The project is subject to North Carolina contractor licensing requirements and requires a Building Contractor classification or an applicable licensed electrical contractor acting as the single prime. A 5% bid security is required for bids equal to or exceeding $300,000. The estimated project cost is $280,000 to $600,000. The project is subject to the Charlotte Business INClusion Program, with a 2% Small Business Enterprise subcontracting goal.
