Description
Nassau BOCES is soliciting bids to establish pricing for B10 bioheating fuel oil and ultra-low-sulfur off-road diesel fuel. The scope includes tank-wagon B10 delivery for quantities below 5,500 gallons, motor-transport B10 delivery for quantities of 5,500 gallons or more, and #1 and #2 grade ultra-low-sulfur off-road diesel for small, medium, and large deliveries to stationary emergency generators. Fuel must meet the stated ASTM, sulfur-content, quality, and biodiesel-blend specifications, with pricing tied to specified OPIS Long Island rack-price benchmarks. The resulting arrangement will support Nassau BOCES and participating school districts through blanket purchase agreements, with deliveries generally required within 48 hours of purchase-order receipt and emergency deliveries within 24 hours of notification. Estimated annual usage is approximately 80,000 gallons for Nassau BOCES locations and 700,000 gallons for participating districts, although actual purchases depend on need and available funding. The initial term is up to one year from award, with two possible one-year extensions by mutual agreement. Vendors must provide delivery documentation, comply with prevailing-wage requirements for fuel-oil delivery drivers, and meet extensive insurance requirements, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation, environmental liability, and excess coverage.
