Description
The Southington Board of Education is soliciting a lump-sum proposal to furnish and install secure exterior containment areas for livestock and students at its agricultural science barn. The work includes labor, supervision, materials, equipment, transportation, tools, site preparation, and incidental work for livestock pastures, a dry lot, and run-out paddocks. The specified improvements include four-foot-high, three-rail, black vinyl-coated woven-wire fencing; pressure-treated posts and slip boards; grading and soil adjustments where needed; aluminum animal-safety signs; farm gates and walk gates arranged as double-gated airlocks; separation fencing; and six-foot gates for the run-out areas. Proposals must include an executive summary, business and project experience, key personnel, subcontractor information, schedule acknowledgment, detailed scope and products, lump-sum pricing, insurance proof, references, a signed IRS Form W-9, a signed Workforce Analysis Form, a signed non-collusive statement, and required affirmative-action compliance documentation. The project is subject to prevailing-wage requirements, and work completion is scheduled for October 2026.
