Description
The University of Central Missouri is soliciting bids for a firm-fixed-price general construction contract to renovate and construct volleyball and wrestling locker rooms at the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center. The scope includes selective demolition; structural steel framing; concrete-on-metal-deck floor construction; exterior wall and roof infill; locker rooms, lounges, offices, showers, toilets, grooming areas, storage, corridors, and mechanical spaces; and associated architectural finishes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, fire-alarm, and controls work. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, materials, equipment, permits, licenses, safety measures, testing, cleanup, and coordination with an occupied facility. A bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid, including alternates, must be submitted electronically through Surety2000. Performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount are required before contract execution. The bid includes a lump-sum price and eight deduct alternates covering ceiling systems, doors, wallcovering and painting, flooring, storefront walls and doors, electrical distribution, a water softener system, and cabinet doors. The proposed notice to proceed date is November 16, 2026, with substantial completion by August 1, 2027, and final completion by August 20, 2027.
