Description
DPR Construction, the awarded construction manager for the University of Connecticut’s Gampel Pavilion Renovation Project, is soliciting bids from experienced trade contractors for Phase 2 work at the approximately 171,000-square-foot, 10,299-seat multipurpose arena. Open bid packages include landscaping, waterproofing, doors/frames/hardware, and epoxy flooring, with estimated values ranging from $50,000 to $450,000. Bidders must identify the package being submitted for and provide a separate, complete submission for each package. The broader scope may include selective and structural demolition, sitework, hardscapes, landscaping, shoring, scaffolding, concrete, structural steel and miscellaneous metals, partitions, curtainwall, mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire-protection systems, elevators, telecommunications, audiovisual systems, access control and surveillance, automation, architectural woodwork, casework, and interior finishes. Required response materials include the provided ITB worksheets for relevant experience, project team qualifications, integrity, and references, along with a cost proposal using the specified bid form. Prevailing wages apply; bid security is required for bids over $50,000, generally at 10% of the bid amount, subject to the stated alternatives and conditions. Awarded contractors must self-perform at least 10% of the total contract price. The project includes targeted construction mobilization on January 11, 2027, with phased completion dates extending through December 6, 2027.
