Description
The City of Davenport is soliciting bids for the demolition of structures at 1132 Brown Street, Parcel ID G-0030-29, and 1136 Brown Street, Parcel ID G-0030-30. The work includes labor, materials, equipment, utility abandonment, transportation, landfill fees, demolition of buildings and outbuildings, debris removal and legal disposal, foundation and basement removal, filling excavations, removal of vegetation, grading, seeding, and related site restoration. The properties are considered unsafe to enter and may be contaminated with asbestos; contractors must hold current demolition and asbestos-abatement licenses required by the City. The contractor must obtain applicable permits, coordinate inspections, provide site security and pedestrian protection, submit landfill manifests or receipts, and complete the demolition within 30 days of the awarded contract. Bids must address both lump-sum line items. A current certificate of insurance and completed Bidder Status Form are required with the bid. The bid must be submitted through the City of Davenport e-bidding system; email, fax, paper, and other submission methods are not accepted.
