Description
The U.S. Army is soliciting a single firm-fixed-price contract for three new multi-tasking machines to replace existing equipment. Each machine must combine turning and milling capabilities and meet extensive requirements for spindles, axes, tooling, controls, accuracy, coolant and chip-removal systems, safety features, and machine identification. The equipment must be new and include all auxiliary components needed for a fully functioning system. The contractor must deliver, off-load, install, connect, test, and start up the machines; provide operator, programming, maintenance, and methods training; furnish documentation, tool holders, and required support; and provide at least a one-year parts-and-labor warranty. The solicitation also includes options for up to five tooling certificates valued at $50,000 each and 200 engineering-support hours. Offers must include a completed RIPD compliance statement, manufacturer and model information, warranty details, either published equipment data or references for at least three similar sales, and completed Attachment 0002 Price Matrix.
