Description
The City of Davenport is soliciting bids for snow-removal services at 129 designated pedestrian ramp locations throughout its downtown area during the 2026–2027 winter season. The contractor must clear plow windrows and residual snow from ramp areas, place removed snow in designated parking lanes without obstructing hydrants, catch basins, accessible parking, or traffic visibility, and use approved four-wheel equipment such as Gators, tractors, or skid loaders. Pickup trucks may not push or back-drag snow from ramps, and salt application is not required. The contractor must respond within 30 minutes of notification and begin work within two hours, typically commencing at 6:00 p.m., and continue without interruption until the zone is complete. The contractor must own and directly control the equipment listed in its bid; subleasing equipment is prohibited. Payment is lump sum per clearing event, with no guaranteed work, and the City may award to multiple bidders. Bidders must submit an equipment list, a certificate of insurance covering general liability, vehicle liability, and workers’ compensation for all vehicles used, and a completed Waiver and Hold Harmless form. The contract runs from award through April 30, 2027.
