Description
The City seeks an on-call contractor to relocate occupants displaced from residences deemed unfit for human habitation. The contractor must respond to service requests within one hour, visit the property, verify the occupants identified by City staff, coordinate with the property owner, and arrange temporary housing for occupants and pets. Relocations may involve one person or more than 20 people for up to 30 days. The contractor must provide a free written estimate after visiting the site, including costs, alternative-housing location, rooms and duration, and special conditions. The City pays accommodation costs plus a per-relocation administrative fee; bidders must price all listed items. Bidders must provide at least five years of property-management experience and historical financial information demonstrating sufficient capital to cover relocation for a six-unit building for up to 30 days. The scope also includes professional conduct, employee identification, invoice documentation, and compliance with the City’s CORI, gender identity, and other stated requirements. The initial term is one year, with City options to renew for two additional years.
