Description
South Kingstown School Department is soliciting bids to furnish, deliver, and install approximately 350 indoor high-impact gymnasium wall and column pads at Peace Dale, Matunuck, Broad Rock, and West Kingston schools. The specifications include bonded foam padding, fire-rated indoor vinyl coverings, OSB backing, attachment lips, and manufacturer warranties, with varying dimensions and quantities by school. The work includes removing existing wall pads and installing replacement pads, including additional wall coverage at Broad Rock Middle School. Bidders must submit pricing by item and state the number of days required to complete installation. The contractor is responsible for delivery, installation, debris removal, applicable labor, permits, insurance, and compliance with prevailing-wage requirements. A bid deposit of at least 5% is required; performance, labor, and materials bonds are required for bids of $30,000 or more. The solicitation requires an authorized binding signature and permits subcontracting only with prior school-department approval.
