Description
The contractor shall demolish, remove, haul, and legally dispose of existing playground surfacing at two infant playground areas, then clean and prepare the existing cement bases and install new pour-in-place rubber surfacing. Each playground requires a nominal 3/4-inch black styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) base layer and a nominal 1/4-inch ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) top layer consisting of a 50/50 tan and light-green blend. The work also includes primer application, edge transitions or ramps, protection around pavilion support poles and other fixed features, site protection, housekeeping, waste management, and final restoration. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, documentation, and incidentals; comply with installation access, safety, environmental, and operations-security requirements; support Government inspections; and provide manufacturer documentation, disposal records, a final turnover package, and a warranty covering defects for at least 12 months from acceptance or the manufacturer warranty period, whichever is longer. The firm-fixed-price contract has a 60-calendar-day period of performance after award, with on-site work scheduled Monday through Friday from 0700 to 1700 when Government personnel are present.
