Description
This expression of interest seeks qualified single-prime general contractors to bid on renovation of the existing auditorium in Building 8 at South Beach Psychiatric Center. The work includes demolition; replacement of approximately 420 fixed seats; new carpet and acoustic wall treatments; stage curtain replacement; upgraded stage lighting and rigging; complete audiovisual modernization; electrical modifications; architectural repairs and refinishing; and environmental abatement coordination, including asbestos abatement. The estimated construction cost is $2,000,000 to $2,500,000, and the project will be governed by a Project Labor Agreement. All subcontractors must execute a Letter of Assent agreeing to be bound by the PLA. This is an EOI and qualification process, not a final construction bid. Applicants must submit an EOI package demonstrating company qualifications, at least five years of similar experience, five comparable projects completed or substantially completed within the past ten years, sample schedules, safety information, proposed personnel, potential subcontractors, anticipated workload, an experience modification rating letter, bonding capacity information, and the New York State Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire. Qualified firms will be shortlisted and invited to submit a future bid; the currently available drawings and specifications are reference-only and final bid documents will be distributed to shortlisted firms. The owner will determine final EEO and M/WBE goals when the finalized bid documents are issued.
