Description
The City of Schenectady Department of Water and Wastewater is soliciting bids for approximately 365 150-pound cylinders of chlorine gas for water treatment during the 2027 contract period. Cylinders must meet the stated manufacturing, testing, labeling, and safety specifications, and deliveries must be made within seven days of notification by the Chief Plant Operator. Pricing must include transportation, delivery, and fuel surcharges, with no cylinder deposit charges or additional fees. The solicitation requires a bid deposit of 5% of the total bid and specifies that the successful bidder must meet stated manufacturer qualifications. A one-year contract may be extended for an additional 12 months by mutual consent.
