Description
The City of Schenectady Department of Water and Wastewater seeks approximately 160,000 pounds of 25% hydrofluosilicic acid for potable-water treatment during calendar year 2027. The quantity is an estimate; the City will purchase only what it needs. The chemical must meet AWWA Standard B-703-89, and the vendor must provide a certified analysis with each delivery. Bulk deliveries of up to 4,000 gallons are accepted, and the facility has storage capacity of 6,000 gallons or 60,000 pounds. The vendor must provide annual training to plant personnel on the material’s use and handling in accordance with OSHA requirements. Pricing must include transportation, delivery, and fuel surcharges, with no additional charges. The bid requires a 5% bid deposit and specified bid security documentation. The successful bidder must provide insurance before work begins. The solicitation also requires a bidder qualification statement, a bidding sheet, and several certifications; the attached MWBE participation plan is due with the bid, while other MWBE forms are identified as due before contract or during performance and are not submission-time requirements.
