Description
The City of Independence is seeking a contractor for the 2024 Neighborhood Sanitary Sewer Capital Improvements Project No. 302004-2. Work includes demolition and site preparation; installation of sanitary sewer manholes, 4-inch service lines, 8-inch and 10-inch PVC sanitary sewer mains, service connections, cleanouts, and related reconnections; abandonment of existing pipe and manholes using flowable fill; and connection to existing manholes. The project also includes temporary construction fencing, chain-link and wood-picket fence replacement, tree removal, sodding, asphalt and concrete driveway or pavement repairs, traffic control, erosion control, utility coordination, and restoration of affected properties. The plans identify two work areas on South Osage Street and South Willis Avenue. Bidders must submit pricing, references, required affidavits and certifications, subcontractor and disadvantaged-business participation information, and other documents identified in the bid package. A payment, performance, and maintenance bond in the full contract amount is required from the successful contractor; insurance certificates are due after award and are not part of the bid-time submission package.
