The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Portland District intends to issue a firm-fixed-price invitation for bids for construction work at Coos Bay Pier. The project includes removing, replacing, and testing approximately 300 feet of potable water piping and related fittings, valves, supports, and a backflow preventer; replacing two approximately 300-foot electrical conduit and cabling runs serving 120V, 240V, and 480V systems; and replacing a 600V, 225A shore-side circuit breaker with a 600V/400A breaker, including associated cabling and testing. Additional work includes replacing and reconnecting three light posts, replacing wooden pier railings with plastic lumber, replacing a life ring and its piping attachment, and replacing wooden steps providing access to a floating dock. The anticipated construction magnitude is $500,000 to $1,000,000, with an anticipated performance period from January 1 through April 30, 2027. The procurement is anticipated to be a total small-business set-aside; the current notice is a presolicitation and is not yet an invitation for bids.
