Description
Upper Uwchlan Township is soliciting bids for individual pieces of equipment, including operators, to provide as-needed roadway snow removal during the 2026-2027 snow removal season. The specified equipment is one 10-ton, 6-cubic-yard dump truck or larger, equipped with a snow plow and salt spreader; the estimate is 100 hours per piece, with one piece sought. Equipment rates must include an operator and equipment must be available exclusively for Township call-outs, in good working order, and Pennsylvania road legal. The contractor must respond to service requests and be on site within one hour, maintain cell phone service and direct communications for assigned operators, complete vehicle work sheets and storm reports, and permit temporary Township-installed GPS tracking during operations. The Township may split the award among multiple contractors and provides no guarantee of estimated hours. A 10% bid bond or certified check is required with the bid, and a 10% performance bond is required within 10 days after award notification.
