Description
The City of Laredo is soliciting informal bids for Phase I rehabilitation of approximately 1,014 square feet at the City of Laredo Courthouse and Post Office, 1st Floor. The work includes demolition; carpentry and gypsum board; ceiling grid and tiles; electrical rewiring, outlets, breaker panels, and LED lighting; plumbing; weatherization and insulation; HVAC ductwork and refrigerant lines; garage-area cleaning; pest-control treatment; debris removal; and final cleanup. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, inspections, and a one-year workmanship and materials warranty. The project must be completed within 30 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages for delay. Bidders must submit a Schedule of Values itemizing tasks, quantities, unit prices, and totals, including a 10% contingency allowance. The solicitation requires a 5% bid bond with the bid; payment and performance bonds are required before work begins when the applicable contract-value thresholds are met. The project is federally funded and includes applicable Davis-Bacon, federal labor, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements. The City of Laredo applies a 5% preference for local vendors. Bids may be submitted electronically through Cit-E-Bid or by hand delivery; mailed, telegraphic, emailed, and faxed bids will not be considered.
