Description
The City of Laredo is soliciting bids for construction of Phase 1 of the Jefferson Convenience Center under solicitation FY26-ENG-01. The work includes approximately 72,500 square feet of 7-inch heavy-duty reinforced concrete, 7,150 square feet of 10-inch reinforced concrete with embedded steel plates, subgrade preparation, curb and gutter, valley gutters, a four-foot vehicular ramp with six-foot walls, ADA ramps, demolition and haul-off, clearing and grubbing, traffic control, fence and gate removal and replacement, concrete bollards, and related site improvements. The project also includes underground electrical work; sewer and water line extensions with manholes, a meter, and backflow preventer; stormwater pollution prevention measures; construction entrance and concrete wash pit; and a $100,000 contingency allowance. The contract time is 90 working days. Bidders must submit the completed bid proposal and required forms, acknowledge the issued addenda, and provide a bid guarantee of at least 5% of the total bid. Performance and payment bonds are required after award when applicable under the stated contract-value thresholds; insurance requirements include commercial general liability, workers’ compensation, and commercial automobile liability coverage.
