Description
The City of Laredo is soliciting bids for Phase 1 construction of the Jefferson Convenience Center under solicitation FY26-ENG-01. The work includes 72,500 square feet of 7-inch heavy-duty reinforced concrete, 7,150 square feet of 10-inch reinforced concrete with embedded steel plates, subgrade preparation, curb and gutter, valley gutters, a four-foot vehicular ramp with six-foot walls, ADA ramps, fencing removal and replacement, traffic control, clearing and grubbing, demolition and haul-off, concrete bollards, and stormwater pollution-prevention measures. The project also includes underground electrical work, a 780-linear-foot sewer extension with three manholes, a 200-linear-foot water-line extension with a meter and backflow preventer, and related site work. Bidders must submit unit prices for all listed bid items, a bid proposal, and the required City forms. A bid guarantee of at least five percent of the total bid is required; performance and payment bonds are required for contracts exceeding the stated statutory thresholds. The construction contract time is 90 working days, with liquidated damages of $200 per day identified in the contract documents.
